Which data is shared?
In the implementation of its legal duties, it may be necessary for Eindhoven Municipality to share data, personal and other, with third parties such as other municipalities, the province, the government, the Public Prosecutor's Office and the police. This is done only if there are legal grounds present, as described in the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), if necessary in combination with a cooperation agreement.
How do I know whether my data is being processed?
In principle, Eindhoven Municipality informs those involved if their data is to be processed.
Is my personal data properly protected?
Yes. Eindhoven Municipality ensures appropriate security for all personal data in its possession, in line with the applicable current legal requirements and guidelines.

What is the retention period for personal data?
Eindhoven Municipality only retains the personal data it processes for as long as is necessary to achieve the aim of the data processing, or for the period required on other grounds (such as archiving and statistical research).
What are my privacy rights?

One of your rights is the right to view, correct or remove your personal data . To do this, you can make an appointment at the Municipality. Mention which of the privacy rights you want to make use of. Make sure you bring your passport or identity card, because you must be able to prove that the data you wish to view, correct or remove is really your data. You are not permitted to view other people's data.
