- SMS Parking (www.smsparking.nl)
- Stadsparkeren (www.stadsparkeren.nl)

The rates charged by the providers vary. Your personal situation will determine which provider is best for you.
How does paying for parking with your mobile phone work?
You check in with your provider when you park somewhere, and check out when you drive away. This is usually done by phoning, by text message or an app. Check on your provider's website what the possibilities are. When you park your vehicle, you register the number of the location. In Eindhoven, this number is usually displayed on a lamp-post near the pay and display machine (see photo above).
What are the advantages of paying with your mobile phone?
Paying parking charges with your mobile phone offers many advantages:
- • You don't have to walk to a pay and display machine
- • You don't have to estimate the length of the parking time in advance
- • You pay per minute
- • You no longer need to rush back because the parking time is about to run out
- • You pay afterwards by direct debit or credit card
- • You can use the system in many cities
- • It is available to everyone who has a mobile phone You don't have to have a smartphone.
What are the charges for paying by mobile phone?
Transaction costs are charged for each action (checking in and checking out). The charges vary from one provider to another. Compare the charges on the providers' websites (see 'How do you pay for parking using your City Pass or mobile phone?').
Generally, the transaction charges will be lower than the cost of a parking fine or the extra you pay for wrongly estimated parking time.
The charges are paid afterwards. You agree with your provider how you want to pay these charges, either each time or, for example, monthly.
