During the works in Phases 1 and 2 (lasting until mid-March 2019), the city centre will be accessible from the south via two routes. The map above shows the best way of reaching Eindhoven city centre. The recommended route is via the Kanaaldijk-Zuid/Kanaalstraat (orange route). An alternative way is via Hertogstraat (purple route). To reach Eindhoven Station and surrounding area, follow the red route.

Accessibility of northern section of Vestdijk (work in Phases 1 and 2)
The northern section of the Vestdijk (between 18 Septemberplein and Kanaalstraat) is only accessible to local traffic from the north side by way of a lane alongside the work area. The Heuvel parking garage is only accessible via the orange and purple routes. Bike traffic in both directions will remain possible. There will always be a pedestrian lane available, so that shops and businesses can be reached.
Parking in the city centre
Are you coming into the city from the south side and you want to park in the city centre? The Heuvel parking garage is accessible via the orange route (Kanaaldijk-Zuid/Kanaalstraat). Follow the red signs. This parking garage can also be reached via the purple route. The accessibility map above also shows other parking areas in the city centre.

Accessibility hotels in city centre

Buses via Emmasingel/Wal/Keizersgracht
Throughout the entire works, buses will take the Emmasingel/Wal/Keizersgracht route. So much room is necessary for the refurbishment that it's impossible to combine the large number of buses with the work. For reasons of safety and through flow of traffic, we therefore decided to divert the buses via the Emmasingel/Wal/Keizersgracht. Bus number 5 will ride from Rubenstraat via Kievitlaan, Parklaan and Stationsweg and back the same way during Phases 1, 2, and 3. Hermes (Bravo) will keep passengers informed about the temporary routes and timetables.
