The website, cure-afvalbeheer.nl also contains information about separating waste for recycling, and the regulations on disposing of your bulky refuse, plastic, metals, asbestos, textiles and green waste.
In the refuse collection calendar you will find information about the collection days in your street. And also information about, for example, the containers for glass and plastic waste in your area.
Where can I register a complaint about litter?
How long am I allowed to leave a container standing outside?
- Put green and grey Kliko bins outside no earlier than 6 a.m. on collection days and take them in again no later than 11 p.m.
- Open containers, such as those for building waste, may be left outside without an environmental permit for 1 day, between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.
- Closed containers, such as those for building waste, may be left outside without an environmental permit, for 31 days.
Why would I be fined for having my scrap metal collected by a dealer?
Dealers are not licensed to collect scrap metal. This is why allowing them to collect any scrap iron or ICT waste is prohibited, and punishable by a fine of 230 Euros. Please take this kind of refuse to the waste recycling point.
Scrap metal is a source of income for the municipality. We use that money to pay for a significant part of the costs of collecting and processing household refuse. Without this income, we would be forced to raise the waste tax.
