Do I have to pay the tax bill, even though I intend to challenge it?
You must always pay the tax bill, even if you intend to challenge it. If your objection is accepted, the amount you paid will be transferred to your bank account.
Can I also lodge an objection in writing?
Yes, certainly. You can lodge an objection by post. Explain clearly why you are lodging an objection. State your name, address, reference number of tax bill, telephone number and e-mail address. Sign your objection and send it to Gemeente Eindhoven, afdeling Heffingen en Invordering, Postbus 90150, 5600 RB Eindhoven.
When will I receive a decision about my objection?
If you lodge an objection before the 20th of November, we will deal with your objection no later than 31 December. This is the statutory time limit for a decision. In general, a decision is made within 3 months. You will be informed of the decision in writing.
Do you object after November 20th? We will then settle your objection within 12 weeks of the date stated on the assessment. This period is also fixed in the law.
I am an entrepreneur: can I lodge an objection online?
As an entrepreneur or self-employed person, you may only lodge an objection online if your tax bill consists of fewer than 10 tax categories.
As a self-employed person, you can log in with your own DigiD. As an entrepreneur, you can log in with your company's RSIN (identification number for legal entities and partnerships).
