What is the difference between proof of sponsorship and private accommodation?
Proof of Sponsorship
By signing this statement, you agree to provide a financial guarantee that you will cover any expenses and debts incurred by your non-European visitor during his or her visit to the Netherlands.
Private accommodation
By signing this statement, you state that you will provide temporary accommodation to a non-European guest.
What do I need for proof of sponsorship or private accommodation?
- The completed application form. Download the form at ind.nl or pick it up from the appropriate counter at Residents’ Plaza, between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.
- Valid proof of identity.
- The signature of the person(s) providing the sponsorship.
- Authenticated signature*
*For proof of private accommodation, you will need 1 legalised signature, and for proof of sponsorship in the case of marriage or registered partnership, each partner will have to provide a legalised signature. Read more about legalising your signature.
What does Proof of sponsorship or private accommodation cost?
